Baton Rouge, LA – January 26, 2017 – Women’s Business Enterprise Council South (WBEC South) has named Vinformatix of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, as winner of the 2016 Rising Star Award. The awards were presented at the 2016 Women in Business Leadership Luncheon.

Each year, one Rising Star is selected amongst WBEC South’s 800 members in five states to receive the prestigious award for excellence in business. Vinformatix was selected as the 2016 recipient based on the tremendous growth it has encountered, its strong focus on innovation and future endeavors leading to business expansion.

“Vinformatix represents the type of client-focused approach to problem solving and quality service provision that characterizes so many of our women-owned businesses, but what sets them apart is their commitment to innovation and market disruption. Their growth trajectory far outpaces the norm and we are thrilled to recognize them as a 2016 Rising Star,” said Phala Mire, President and CEO, WBEC South.

Padma Vatsavai, founder of Vinformatix, launched the company in 2009 at the Louisiana Business & Technology Center at Louisiana State University. Vinformatix grew into a full-service technology company under the leadership of Charlie D’Agostino. Vinformatix was named graduate company of the year in 2015.

Since then, Vatsavai has significantly grown the technology company to 20 employees and is focusing on state and corporate contracts across all industries and is looking to expand into the federal market.

“It was an honor to receive the Rising Star Award from WBEC South,” said Vatsavai. “It’s nice to be recognized among peers for the hard work that has been put in to grow the footprint of Vinformatix and continue moving along that path into greater territories.”
