BATON ROUGE—Louisiana-based custom software developer Vinformatix has been named among Inc. Media’s annual ranking of fastest-growing companies in the USA, the prestigious “Inc. 5000.”

In its first appearance among the nation’s top businesses in year-over-year growth, Vinformatix debuted at 1,126, or near the top 20% of included companies.

Founded in 2008 by CEO Padma Vatsavai to create enterprise-level business software solutions with a focus on the healthcare industry and large public sector clients, Vinformatix has doubled in staff and revenue multiple times since signing its first contract.

“This welcome recognition comes at an exciting time for our business,” said Vatsavai. “Our staff and customer base have reached a critical mass we hope will make exponential annual growth a real possibility.”

For 37 years, the Inc. 5000 listing has been a benchmark for American companies seeking recognition for exceptional success in revenue growth. According to publisher Inc. Media, companies named in this year’s list have grown six-fold on average since 2015 and have included in recent years such familiar names as Oracle, Microsoft and Grubhub.

Inc. editor in chief James Ledbetter said that companies making the list have followed many different paths to success. “What they have in common is persistence and seizing opportunities.”

Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found at www.inc.com/inc5000.

Located at 801 North Blvd. near downtown Baton Rouge, Vinformatix employs an expert team of software developers, quality assurance experts, server engineers, project managers and data analysts. Last year the company was named one of the city’s “Best Places to Work” by the Greater Baton Rouge Business Report.
